NOTABLE

• This game marks the only visit to San Antonio from the defending NBA champions this season. The Spurs’ other home game against the Nuggets was played in Austin on March 15, a game Denver won 117-106.

• The Nuggets are closing in on the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference for the second consecutive season. Denver, which closes out its season Sunday in Memphis, can accomplish that with any combination of two victories or Minnesota losses.

• The Spurs have collected 2,385 assists this season, breaking the franchise record of 2,367 set in 1983-84. Eight of the Spurs’ previous 10 top assist seasons came before 1990.
