Chiefs’ Rice facing assault charge after high-speed crash
Dallas police said Wednesday that Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice faces charges including aggravated assault after he and another speeding driver of a sports car caused a chain-reaction crash on a Dallas highway.
Police said that arrest warrants have been issued for the 23-year-old for one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury.
Arrest warrants were also issued for Theodore Knox, 21, who was driving the other speeding sports car, a Corvette.
Castañon paces Missions’ victory
Marcos Castañon and Connor Hollis had three hits and one RBI apiece as San Antonio beat Northwest Arkansas 6-2 on Wednesday night at Wolff Stadium.
Castañon had two doubles and five total bases as the Missions improved to 4-1.
Missions starter Jared Kollar (1-0) went five innings, allowing a run on three hit. He struck out five.
College football: A University of Washington football player has been arrested and charged with raping two women and court documents say he played in two College Football Playoff games after one of the allegations was made known to the university.
Seattle police arrested 18-year-old Tylin “Tybo” Rogers on Friday and booked him into King County Jail, KING-TV reported. He was charged with seconddegree rape and thirddegree rape.
Tennis: Top-ranked Novak Djokovic advanced to the quarterfinals of the Monte Carlo Masters with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Lorenzo Musetti on Thursday.
Second-ranked Jannik Sinner also advanced to the quarterfinals with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Janlennard Struff.
