Shabbat Across America celebration

Congregation B’nai Tikvah hosts a “Make and Take Challah Event” at 7 p.m. Friday at 2510 Gateway Road as part of Shabbat Across America. Participants get hands-on instruction on how to make challah, the traditional twisted egg bread eaten on the Sabbath. Mix ingredients and make the dough with instructors, then take your dough home to bake. Donation of $10 includes supplies and ingredients. The event, led by Rabbi Ben Leinow and Cantor Larry Kornit, is open to the North County community. Bring canned goods to donate to Interfaith Community Services.
