Aim to reverse Type 2 diabetes? Advanced Functional Medicine offers free dinner seminars

-

Functional medicine addresses the underlying cause of a disease as opposed to using medications that only mask symptoms, said Sonia Mohan, M.D., co-owner of Advanced Functional Medicine, in the Sorrento Valley area.

The facility says that its program allows Type 2 diabetes to reverse, eliminating the need for medications such as Metformin, Glipizide, statins and even insulin injections. The program is not alternative or integrative medicine, Mohan said in a statement.

“We get to the root cause of chronic issues with researchbased, natural solutions instead of prescribing more medications to merely mask symptoms,” she said. “This is a science-based, fundamental change in the way we think about health and disease.”

Advanced Functional Medicine was founded by doctors who wanted to stop over-medicating patients and find them a lifelong solution. Most patients are between the ages of 55-80 and repeatedly report that they feel 10 years younger within eight weeks of care, Mohan said.

The first 50 people to book a seminar can bring a guest for free. Seminars are reserved for Type 2 diabetics only, plus one guest.

Space is limited; call to register at (858) 252-4486, and give reservation code NP14.
