If you have the time, then you don’t want to miss ...

If you find yourself not very busy today, and love dogs, and love seeing a dog lying in an open casket for visitation at a memorial service, then there is something for you.

Cleveland Browns’ mascot Swagger ,a 6-year-old Bullmastiff, died on Feb. 7, and services were held on Saturday in Willoughby Hills, Ohio.

From WKCY, the NBC affiliate in Cleveland: “Before dozens of well-wishers, Swagger’s body lay in an open casket adorned with Browns gear. His son SJ, who replaced him as mascot this past season, was there to greet those who came as well as to stand watch over his dad and friend.

“Swagger served as the team’s live mascot from 2014 until Week 6 of last season, and his handlers later revealed he had been battling cancer for some time. He (passed) away from a stroke, which officials said was ‘unexpected.’ ”

If you missed it, here’s your chance to while away some time today. Cleveland.com, the website for The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, put the entire 1-hour, 24-minute, 55-second video on its website, hosted by its Facebook Live reporter, Hannah Drown.

“I am out in Willoughby Hills today for the visitation, as well as the celebration of life, for Browns mascot Swagger,” she says to lead off the video. “Just a warning for anybody who might not want to see it, Swagger does have an open casket.”

WKCY reported that though the Browns sent their condolences, the team “had no direct role on (Saturday’s) services.”

The video had more than 1,500 comments, 388 shares and more than 65,000 views as of mid-saturday afternoon.

That’s one way to drive traffic to your website.
