Monday MURRIETA Dog Tales
The Murrieta Public Library holds its Dog Tales program at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, except holidays. The program, in partnership with Love on a Leash, provides trained reading education assistance dogs for children ages 3 to 12 to read to. Arrive early to sign up for a 10-minute slot. TEMECULA Bilingual storytime
The Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library hosts “La Hora Del Cuento — Bilingual Storytime” Mondays, except holidays, from 11 to 11:30 a.m. The program for all ages promotes early Spanish learning by immersion in Spanish and English. TEMECULA Teen STEM program
Teens are invited to a Medical Diagnostic Lab STEM program from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library, 30600 Pauba Road. Mt. San Jacinto College professor Nick Reeves will teach participants how to use the ELISA medical diagnostic test to determine flu infection (no actual virus will be present). Tuesday TEMECULA Female entrepreneurs meet
Temecula NAFE, the National Association of Female Executives, meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Texas Lil’s Mesquite Grill, 28495 Old Town Temecula. Each meeting features a speaker and opportunity for female businesswomen to meet. The meeting costs $10 for NAFE members and $15 for guests; dinner is paid for individually. NAFE dues are $50 a year. Wednesday TEMECULA Kids Only Club
Pennypickle’s Workshop continues its Kids Only Club science activities on Wednesday. The drop-off events are for children only, ages 5 to 11, and run from 3 to 5 p.m. The cost is $28 each and includes snack and drink. March 7-8 MURRIETA Tour de Murrieta
The 15th annual Tour de Murrieta bike race, recognized as one of California’s most prestigious race weekends, will feature the most competitive race teams in California March 7-8. Events include a one-mile lightning fast Grand Prix race through downtown Murrieta and a 4-mile Circuit Race, in addition to an expo are, music and the ever-popular kids race, which will be at noon March 7. March 11 MURRIETA Watercolor painting
The Friends of the Murrieta Library will host artist Angela Koenig who will teach basics of watercolor painting at a free lesson at 2 p.m. March 11 at the Murrieta Public Library, 8 Town Square. The free program, for adults only, is limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
Through March 15 TEMECULA American Farmer Exhibition
The Temecula Valley Museum presents an American Farmer Exhibition of photographs depicting the geographic and cultural diversity of the American farmer. The portfolio, on display through March 15, will be accompanied by anecdotes and memories in the farmers’ own words. March 15 TEMECULA Carnival of Music
The Temecula Valley Symphony will hold a Carnival of Music spring concert from 3 to 5 p.m. March 15 at the CRC Amphitheater in Ronald Reagan Sports Parks, 30875 Rancho Vista Road. Musical instruments will be on display afterward for guests to view and learn more about. The Carnival of Music will include selections from “The Wizard of Oz,” “Wicked,” Fiddler on the Roof” and “Lord of the Rings (Fellowship of the Ring).”
