Today TEMECULA 9th annual Jazz Festival

Celebrate jazz with some of the Inland Empire’s finest musicians at the Temecula Theater’s 9th annual Jazz Festival from 2 to 4:30 p.m. today. The Andy Fraga Trio, Yve Evans, Keith Droste, Jonathan Karrant, Doug Mcdonald, and father and son team Colin and Joel Wenhardt are among those scheduled to perform. Wednesday MURRIETA Watercolor painting

The Friends of the Murrieta Library will host artist Angela Koenig who will teach basics of watercolor painting at a free lesson at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Murrieta Public Library, 8 Town Square. The free program, for adults only, is limited to 20 participan­ts on a first-come, first-served basis.

March 14 TEMECULA Second Saturday program

The monthly Second Saturday program at the Temecula Valley Museum will explore Indian culture and the annual Holi festivitie­s, which celebrate the arival of spring, goodwill and features dancing, singing and more. Enjoy food, entertainm­ent, art, crafts and fun facts. Activities will be available for all ages. March 15 TEMECULA Carnival of Music

The Temecula Valley Symphony will hold a Carnival of Music spring concert from 3 to 5 p.m. March 15 at the CRC Amphitheat­er in Ronald Reagan Sports Parks, 30875 Rancho Vista Road. Musical instrument­s will be on display afterward for guests to view and learn more about. The Carnival of Music will include selections from “The Wizard of Oz,” “Wicked,” Fiddler on the Roof” and “Lord of the Rings (Fellowship of the Ring).”

TEMECULA Little Sprouts Seed Library

Families are invited to explore gardening together when the Little Sprouts Seed Library launches at 1 p.m. March 15 at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library, 30600 Pauba Road. Free packets of organic seeds — provided by Vlada’s Seeds of Life, Golden Valley Seed, Friends of the Temecula Libraies and the Ronald H. Roberts library — will be available March 15 to May, while supplies last.

Through March 15 TEMECULA American Farmer Exhibition

The Temecula Valley Museum presents an American Farmer Exhibition of photograph­s depicting the geographic and cultural diversity of the American farmer. The portfolio, on display through March 15, will be accompanie­d by anecdotes and memories in the farmers’ own words. Pennypickl­e’s Workshop continues its Kids Only Club science activities on March 18. The drop-off events are for children only, ages 5 to 11, and run from 3 to 5 p.m. The cost is $28 each and includes snack and drink. The city invites middle school girls, ages 11-14, in the Temecula Valley to a STEM Spring Break Camp.
