60TH ANNIVERSARY

David and Connie Bischke

The children of David and Connie (Weed) Bischke happily announce their parent’s 60th wedding anniversary. David and Connie were married on October 29, 1960 at the First Baptist Church in Banning, CA. Connie was not even old enough to vote! Though she was still a teenager, she had the good sense to set her sights on a young man who excelled on every level even at an early age. They have two daughters, Lori Rabell and husband Mike of Alpine, CA, and Alisa Koser and husband, Michael of Escondido, CA. They are blessed with five grandchildren--cameron, Abenee, Jacoby, Rylan and Matisse. David served in the Navy and also achieved his Master’s Degree in Art. He spent his career as a cabinet maker, building and installing store fixtures throughout San Diego county. In his spare time, David is an accomplished painter and woodworker. Connie worked at SDSU in the registrar’s office before starting their family. Years later she was very active in Bible Study Fellowship for women and eventually became a Teaching Leader. She worked many years in the biopharmaceutical industry before retiring in 2017. Connie enjoys crocheting, sewing, writing and gardening, as well as spending time with her grandchildren. Throughout their marriage David and Connie were very active in their church, College Center Covenant. They served as Sunday School teachers and wherever needed, even designing and creating the sets for Christmas plays. They currently attend Emmanuel Faith in Escondido, CA. They relish time spent with family and friends, celebrating birthdays, beating their kids during family game nights, going to plays at Lamb’s Players Theater and travelling. Some of their favorite vacations include Oregon, Hawaii, Alaska, Kentucky, Cooperstown, NY and Niagara Falls, as well as many trips up and down the California Coast. Their strong faith and love for The Lord has been the foundation for their marriage and family these many years. Their family is so proud of their love and commitment to each other and the role models they are to all who know them. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! We love you so much!
