Residences with private elevators complete construction at Carlyle Carlsbad Village
Every detail has been attended to at Carlyle Carlsbad Village’s two townhomes and three single-family detached homes that will complete the community. Designed to showcase a casual beach lifestyle, these homes will offer the same luxury elements, technology access and quality construction as the single-level Residences, with one addition: a private elevator. The three-level homes have open floor plans highlighting great rooms and gourmet kitchens with dining islands opening to expansive decks for indoor-outdoor living. With a first-floor bedroom suite and bonus room, these homes create a desirable private area for guests or additional family members. “Carlyle defines the concept of destination living. The homes present a unique opportunity to live in a newly constructed home in walkable Carlsbad Village among casual, coastal boutiques, restaurants, entertainment options, and, of course, the beach,” said Christopher Mckellar, CEO of Mckellar Mcgowan, a San Diego-based real estate developer with expertise in site planning, finance, entitlement, construction and risk management, leasing and property management and sales. The company was founded by Mckellar and Timothy Mcgowan, who have nearly 80 years of combined experience in the real estate industry. The completion of the townhomes and single-family residences introduces three-story living into the community. Each of these homes features a two-car garage with storage and direct home access and a private elevator. They have a separate entrance off Home Avenue, which will also provides access to the pool area and outdoor lounge. The community’s 38 homes, at 800 Grand Ave. in the village of Carlsbad, are 50 percent sold out, and homebuyers have begun moving in. Carlyle Carlsbad Village’s continues to celebrate sales success with strong homebuyer interest and is excited about construction nearing completion. Carlyle Carlsbad Village is comprised of 33 single-level condominiums, three single-family detached homes and two townhomes, all designed in a contemporary Craftsman style. The homes range in size from 1,635 to 3,044 square feet with two to three bedrooms and share a pool and outdoor lounge. They are priced from the low $1 millions to the mid $2 millions. “Each residence at Carlyle has been individually tailored for homeowners who desire a high-quality, luxurious home that also captures the coastal spirit of Carlsbad,” Mckellar said. “Our residences are focused on what buyers are asking for, which is wide-open single level floor plans, an abundance of natural light and ease-of-use. We have also included private elevators in the single-family homes and townhomes, making all three levels accessible to any homeowner.” Homebuyers are invited to tour the model homes decorated by Del Mar-based interior design firm Design Line Interiors. The homes take advantage of the temperate coastal climate with large outdoor decks accessed through pocket door systems up to 12 feet wide. The homes also feature spacious laundry rooms and bonus storage; luxury plank flooring; designer-selected finishes; Bertazzoni 48-inch gas ranges and double ovens; built-in Sub-zero refrigerators, quartz countertops and more.
