Businesses help Feeding San Diego
“Give Hope, Share Joy,” is a new campaign from Feeding San Diego to raise funds to meet the increased need for food help across San Diego County because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Funds raised will go toward drive-thru food distributions, supply food for emergency food distributions, increase food supply to rural mobile pantries and provide meals for children and families in partnership with school districts and other youth-based programs because of ongoing school closures.
“The pandemic has exacerbated the hunger crisis,” said Dan Shea, Feeding San Diego Chief Executive Officer, in a statement. “Feeding San Diego is committed to connecting every person facing hunger with nutritious food — especially in times of crisis. We believe that food is a basic human right. No one should go hungry, during a pandemic or otherwise.”
