70TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Henry and Tillie Arviso
Enrique “Henry” and Matilde “Tillie” Arviso celebrated “70” amazing years together in San Diego California. They were married on November 19, 1950, at Saint Jude Catholic Church. They are living in the home that they raise their four children (Linda, Henry Jr., Sandy and Denise). It continues to be the second home for their grandchildren (Keri, Raymond, Breeann, Aaron and Tayler). Then of course the great-grandchildren (Bradley, Sienna, Valerie and soon to arrive Mila Rae). And all the spouses made it their home too. Their romantic story begins in 1946, when a World War II soldier returns home from deployment from the South Pacific. An army buddy of Henry’s brought him to Tillie’s family home for a good meal. Henry thought Tillie was a good cook and cute too! Tillie noticed he was good looking and drove a convertible. They are off to a great start! On November 19, 2020, Henry celebrated his 94th birthday. (This wedding day was chosen to help Henry to never forget his anniversary date.) Henry graduated from Hoover High School, served in the Army, and retired from Calmat. His favorite activities included, GOLFING, watching and playing sports, staying informed on World Events and being involved in family activities. Tillie (90 years old), graduated from San Diego High School. Her main job was being Mom and Nana. She was a beautician and later employed by Pepper Drive Elementary school. Her passions are cooking, playing bunco and being with friends and family. This anniversary of 70 years is a celebration for the rest of us, for it is also a pleasure for us to recognize their commitment and unwavering love. They have made the sanctity of marriage looks so easy. Love untarnished, that is the gift that Henry and Tillie gives us. Thank you for making us all feel that we are your FAVORITE! GOD blessed us with wonderful parents, grandparents, and great-grand parents. With Love, The Arviso, Backer, Banaga, Bliss Family!
