SAN DIEGO — Geraldine (Gerry) Couture Christoph died on December 9th after a crippling struggle with dementia. Born in Ohio to Clarence and Ursula Couture on
Halloween in 1931, Gerry lived a life of great love, joy and adventure. She moved to California in 1952 and met and married Karl (Chris) Christoph in January 1953. Chris was at the beginning of a very successful naval career and Gerry reveled
in being a Navy wife as much as she adored being mother (and dictator) to five children, Karen, Kim, Kit, Kathy and Kerry. She loved good food, beautiful clothes, travel, and things that made her laugh. She felt blessed by the bounty of her life including 10 grandchildren: Kagen and Korbin Christoph, Ryan Parker, JP and Christopher Mccarthy, Nate and Collin Reinking and Randi Arvanitis, Geoffrey and Aimee Munch and three (soon to be four) delightful great grandchildren and many lifelong friendships. She was predeceased by the eternal object of her affections, Radm. Karl J.christoph Jr. Internment will be at his side at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
