Jose M. Castro

SAN DIEGO —

Jose, a lifetime San Diego resident, died on November 22, 2020. He was a longtime roofing contractor whose company participated in the construction of many commercial and industrial buildings that dot San Diego’s sky line.

Jose was actively involved in the promotion of his industry, having served two one-year terms as president of the San Diego Roofing Contractors Association, two one-year terms as president of the California Roofing Association, and one year as president of the Western States Roofing Contractors Association.

He is survived by his beloved wife Lupe, sister Rose Mayoral, brother Mike Castro of Sacramento, daughter Gina Villa, sons Joe Jr. and Andre Mario, all of San Diego. He has six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-greatgrandchildren. His request was to be cremated; in lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Father Joe’s Saint Vincent De Paul’s Homeless Shelter. Services will be restricted due to Covid 19.

He lived his life as a Man of Pride and Honor.
