City ignoring homeless problems Downtown
Re “Not seeing homeless issues getting better” (Dec. 10): The letter writer is right on. But it is an understatement. It is worse than she describes.
Try walking down Eighth, Ninth or 10th Avenues from B Street to Market Street. Disgustingly filthy. And dangerous. People blocking the sidewalk, refusing to move. To bypass them, you have to walk into the street and risk getting hit by a car.
It is time to solve this problem and not ignore it for extended periods of time. Hopefully, the new mayor and City Council will get on this immediately. Bill Mccarthy Cortez Hill
