Home sales 21 percent higher in a year

-

The Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors (PSAR), one of San Diego County’s largest real estate trade groups for San Diego-area realtors, reports home sales in October 2020 were 21.2 percent higher compared to October 2019, but 7.1 percent lower compared to September 2020. PSAR said recent statistics from the California Association of Realtors reveal statewide home sales in October 2020 were just 15,000 units shy of the 500,000 benchmark, totaling 484,510 in October 2020 on a seasonally adjusted annualized rate. October’s sales total climbed above the 400,000 level for the fourth straight month since the Covid-19 crisis depressed the housing market earlier this year.
