Marines among recipients of Alternative Christmas Market

The 35th annual Alternative Christmas Market at the Village Church in Rancho Santa Fe kicked off with a drive-thru event. Participants drove by the church and picked up a list of nonprofits, mostly based in San Diego, that offer gifts to help people across the world. Among the donations from the market were several dozen Thanksgiving dinner boxes that were delivered by volunteers to Marines at Camp Pendleton (above). The market runs through Dec. 24.
