Gathering homeless in one place was unwise

Re “Coronavirus outbreak detected at San Diego Convention Center homeless shelter” (Dec. 10): So the coronavirus is running wild in the homeless shelter. I have seen no figures on how well the homeless are doing outside but my guess is a lot better than cooped up inside.

We know, going all the way back to the 1918 Spanish flu epidemic, that outside is way better than inside.
