SAN DIEGO — Amy Naegeli Corlett, 48, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2021 at her home in San Diego, with loving son Tanor Larson at her side. Amy bravely fought a painful, year long illness, and we thank the doctors and nurses at Kaiser Hospital who attended her.

Amy was loved by family, friends and neighbors, she was beautiful on the inside and in appearance, vivacious, friendly and chatty. The daughter of Fred and Lorelei Naegeli, Amy and her brother Ted grew up in Chula Vista. As a teen, she excelled in tap and jazz sessions at “And All that Jazz” studio and recitals in Coronado. Mario Lopez also performed there, before moving to Hollywood. Amy was on the Girl’s Tennis Team at Hilltop High, where her dad was her tennis coach. Her dad liked to tease her with telling blonde jokes.

College classes at Southwestern and Grossmont College, marriage and motherhood followed and she doted on her sons Tanor and Hunter Larson, who were the loves of her life. Tanor was quiet and studious. Hunter was 6 years younger, active, her little “Corker”. They always knew they were loved, cared for, and always on her mind, all the days of her life.

Amy’s love of children prompted her to open a licensed daycare in her home so she could be with son Tanor and he would have friends to play with. It was successful and a relief for parents to find good daycare.

Later she changed careers and trained to be a CPR instructor, working 12 years at San Diego Gas & Electric teaching CPR, how to use AED machines and various safety classes to thousands of employees. She excelled at these classes, making many friends and will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

Amy is survived by her sons Tanor and Hunter Larson and their dad Tahl Larson, her mother Lorelei Naegeli, brother Ted Naegeli, stepdaughter Haley Dose, aunts, uncles, cousins who loved her very much. Welcoming her in Heaven will be her dad Fred Naegeli, grandparents Anne and Lloyd Wells, relatives and friends who are waiting with open arms for their angel, Amy.

Rest in Peace, my darling daughter.

No memorial service planned at this time. Private interment at Glen Abbey, Bonita.
