Geraldine ‘Gerry’ Slesnick

January 16, 1929 - January 30, 2021

LA JOLLA — Gerry was born in Chicago, Ill, daughter of Jean and Al Polland. She married Maurice (Larry) Lawrence in Chicago in 1949 before moving to San Diego. Gerry was involved in Hadassah, United Jewish Federation, and Brandeis Book Club. Gerry married Bruce Slesnick in 1978 and they enjoyed dining out and traveling. She regularly played bridge, mahjong, and pan.

Though she lived a long and blessed life -- passing away at the age of 92 -- she was forever 36 years old: a number that both represented double chai as well as her being in perpetual denial of aging.

Ben Caspi (Annie), AJ Lawrence (Skylar), Dustin Lawrence (Cassie), Seth Lawrence (Olivia Leiter), and Madeleine Lawrence, great-grandmother to Lisan, Remy, Yogev, Caleb, Carmel, Sabrina, Julius, Ramona, Sedona, and Parker.
