Fr. Ben Bachmeier

SAN DIEGO — a longtime chaplain at Scripps Mercy Hospital, died Monday, February 15, 2021. A priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fargo, ND, Bachmeier served in several parishes there for 24 years before accepting a position at the then-mercy Hospital in 1992. He retired in 2003 but returned in a parttime position until his full retirement in 2018. He also assisted on weekends in a number of parishes, most recently at Mission San Diego de Alcala and officiated at numerous weddings, particularly at
