Campbell has brought recall effort on herself

Re “San Diego council president calls recall campaign against her reckless, divisive, expensive” (Feb. 17): Jennifer Campbell wants to blame everyone else for the recall effort.

What about taking responsibility for her own actions that brought some in her district to want her out of office as soon as possible? Like being unresponsive, championing issues like short-term rentals and voting to eliminate the 30-foot height limit in the Midway area, which the majority of District 2 voters support. Or something as simple as not returning phone calls to her office or walking out of meetings when she doesn’t like what was being said.

Campbell should take responsibility for her actions. She brought on her own recall, and now she is blaming everyone else. John Hartley Hillcrest
