FALLBROOK, CA — William “Bill” Budd went home to be with our Lord on March 3, 2021, at the age of 85. Bill was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, in 1935.

After graduating high school, Bill enlisted in the US Air Force and married the love of his life Joyce. Together with their four children, they settled on Long Island, New York. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Bill joined Grumman Aircraft Engineerin­g Corporatio­n, beginning a long career in the Aerospace industry. He was transferre­d to the San Diego division in 1977. They lived in Coronado, Hawaii, Escondido, and finally Fallbrook. After leaving Grumman, he worked at General Dynamics and finally General Atomics, from where he retired.

A strong and devout Christian, many people were led to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior by his example. Bill enjoyed camping and boating with his family, trips to Yosemite National Park, and watching football.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joyce, daughter Judy, son Jim, and grandson Michael Zvoncheck. He is survived by his daughter Debbie Hertel and son Ken Budd, along with his grandchild­ren Bill Zvoncheck, Joshua Hertel, Alisha Yost Holden, Ben Budd, Luke Budd, Emily Boghosian, Summer Clark, David Clark, two greatgrand­children, Vivian Boghosian and Elijah Boghosian, and his three sisters Adrian, Brenda, and Diana.

A Celebratio­n of Life for Bill will be held on March 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel of Fallbrook, 1109 E. Fallbrook St. Fallbrook, CA 92028. The Committal Service will take place at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery sometime in April.
