Who serves the best fish taco and where is the best place to get married? Who are the area’s outstanding barbers and landscapers? Share your insider tips of what’s best in San Diego by nominating your top spots around the county in the 25th annual San Diego’s Best Union-tribune readers poll.

The annual poll invites San Diego residents to share and recognize their favorite places, businesses and services. The nomination phase kicks off next Sunday, March 21, and runs through April 21. Readers can register at sdbestpoll.com to nominate their selections in more than 200 categories, from health care providers and finance services to car dealers and casinos. Once the nomination period ends, the top 10 vote-getters in each category will be placed on the ballot.

“Given the far-reaching effects of the pandemic and the challenges local businesses have faced, the 2021 poll promises to be the vote of confidence they need as they start to recover from the past year,” said Paul Ingegneri, the Union-tribune’s vice president of advertising.

For the silver anniversary of the readers poll, some notable San Diegans will be sharing their top picks, and local business heroes will once again be recognized. After the nominations have been vetted, the voting phase of the contest begins May 10. Participants may vote once per day through June 10. All votes pass through a strict verification process, and the winners are announced in a special print section and online Aug. 22.

“In this 25th year, we are hoping you will help us make this the biggest poll ever, with more than 200 categories spanning a wide range of businesses and services,” Ingegneri said.
