CARLSBAD Free paper shredding event set for Saturday

The Coldwell Banker Realty Carlsbad office is hosting a free drive-thru papershred­ding event from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday to help the community securely dispose of paper clutter like tax documents or other sensitive items. The office is at 7020 Avenida Encinas.

Green Business Expo will be held April 21

The Carlsbad Chamber Commerce invites the community to the 2021 Green Business Expo, its first inperson event since last year. The expo runs from 2 to 6 p.m. April 21 at The Flower Fields, 5704 Paseo Del Norte, celebratin­g the 51st anniversar­y of Earth Day in North County. Learn about green business practices you can implement in business and at home, and how it pays to be green, while enjoying the 50 acres of ranunculus flowers. This event is open to the public with a $10 donation to benefit The Flower Fields Foundation, which provides education programs for children in the community. ESCONDIDO Stone Brewing names senior vice president

Stone Brewing has announced Tom Mcreavy as its new senior vice president for sales. Mcreavy brings 25 years of sales leadership experience to Stone. He launched and sold video games such as Call of Duty and Guitar Hero as vice president of sales at Activision Blizzard. Most recently, he was senior vice president for sales at Lagunitas Brewing, where he led the U.S. and Canadian sales teams. Mcreavy will be working closely with two other recent Stone hires: Erin Smith, vice president of marketing, and Zach Keeling, vice president of strategy. Smith joins Stone after leading the marketing team at PAX Labs after 13 years with E&J Gallo Winery and Constellat­ion Brands. NORTH COUNTY Annual economic summit Tuesday

The San Diego North Economic Developmen­t Council presents its eighth annual economic summit from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday via Zoom. Log on for an overview of economic outlooks in 2021 presented by Wells Fargo and BW Research. Attendees will hear how national and state trends will affect our region’s economy in 2021. Each year the council asks Josh Williams of BW Research to compile a report on North County’s economy.
