Mission Hills High football coach Chris Hauser had a dilemma.

Did he coach his team’s game Friday against El Camino or attend the rehearsal dinner for his daughter Leeanna’s wedding on Saturday? Hauser hasn’t missed a game in 31 years.

So Hauser made a call to El Camino coach Michael Hobbs, asking if the Wildcats would consider moving the game to Thursday.

“Michael was awesome,” Hauser said. “I explained the situation, and he agreed to move the game, no questions asked.

“It was a really nice thing for him to do.”

With Hauser’s wife Laura, Leeanna and her fiancé Taylor Thompson in attendance at Thursday’s game, No. 4-ranked Mission Hills (4-0) beat El Camino (2-2) 37-21.
