Animal: Carnation, 6-year-old, 9.5-pound, female domestic shorthair cat.
Where: Rancho Coastal Humane Society, 389 Requeza St., Encinitas. Appointments will be offered every day except Tuesdays. The first step is fill out a pet adoption survey at rchumanesociety.org/adopt/ adoptions-by-appointmentonly and email it to adoptions@sdpets.org. If the initial telephone interview suggests a “good fit,” an appointment to meet your desired pet will be made. Adoption fee: $100, including microchip registration. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.
