San Diego Promise Zone recruitment open

The San Diego Promise Zone is recruiting community members to serve as Americorps VISTAS, aka Volunteers in Service to America. Americorps VISTA is a national service program established to alleviate poverty. Candidates are sought to fill four roles with a June 7 start date. Volunteers receive some compensation, such as living allowance, education award or end of service stipend, health coverage, child care assistance and training. Deadline to apply is April 23.
