Summer camp registration opens

Registration for the city’s Summer Day Camp program begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Weekly camps are June 21-Aug. 13 at the Jim Porter Recreation Center, 1200 Vale Terrace Drive. Fees per week are $180 for Vista residents; $220 for all others. Students in grades 9-11 interested in becoming future camp leaders may register for the Counselor in Training program. The weekly rate is $90 for Vista residents; $105 for all others. Camps are divided by age group, and include crafts, games, science, sports and music. Camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays with free extended care from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Register at vistarecreation.com or (760) 643-5272.
