May 16 TEMECULA E-waste recycling

The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a free e-waste recycling event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 16 at the Promenade Temecula mall, 40820 Winchester Road. E-waste such as computer monitors, television sets, VCR players, scanners and copiers will be accepted in the mall parking lot near J.C. Penney. May 22 PERRIS Community hike

The city of Perris has resumed its Take A Hike program of guided hikes on local trails. The next hike will be Saturday, May 22, up to Terri Peak at the Lake Perris State Recreation Area. Check-in begins at 7:15 a.m., with the hike beginning at 8:15 a.m. Register in advance at cityofperr­is.org.

May 23 TEMECULA Walk for Hope

Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center will hold its annual Walk for Hope on Sunday, May 23, at California Ranch Company. The Walk for Hope celebrates cancer survivors and thrivers while raising money for the cancer center. This year’s walk, in Wine Country, will follow a 1.5-mile route along horse trails. Participan­ts can share stories, reminisce and remember those that have been affected by cancer. Sponsorshi­ps available. May 25 MURRIETA Coffee talks

The Coffee with the City of Murrieta series continues at 8:30 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month via Zoom. June 1-6 TEMECULA Art & Street Painting Festival

The 2021 Temecula Art & Street Painting Festival will be held virtually and in person from June 1-6. A virtual art exhibition will be held on the city of Temecula website June 1-6, while a Chalk Art Competitio­n will be held on Main Street in Old Town Temecula June 4-6. The deadline to apply to enter the virtual exhibition is May 21; there is no fee. The deadline to enter the chalk art competitio­n is May 28; fee is $5. June 11 TEMECULA Golf tourney

The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2021 Wine Country Classic golf tournament on Friday, June 11, at Temecula Creek Inn. The tournament combines networking with competitio­n. June 12 LAKE ELSINORE Tire recycling

The city of Lake Elsinore will hold a tire collection event for city residents from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 12, at the Public Works Yard, 521 Langstaff St. City residents can drop off up to nine tires per trip. Ongoing VALLEYWIDE Blood donations

Lifestream continues to host mobile blood drives at various locations as well as collection­s at its regular locations. Face coverings are required of all donors, and all potential donors are subject to a temperatur­e check and COVID-19 symptom review.
