SAN DIEGO — Clarice Colby-robinson, 92 of San Diego, passed away peacefully on September 14th. Clarice was born on March 12th, 1929 to Clyde and Ruth Colby in Brush, Colorado. The family moved when she was still just an infant to start their new life in San Diego.

She graduated from Hoover High in 1947, and soon after got her first job at the original upscale Marston’s Department store in down town San Diego.

In 1951 she married her first husband, Hector Balladares, and they went on to have 3 children, Adrian, Anita, and Brian. Following many years as a dedicated homemaker, Clarice began her career as a bookkeeper where she worked several years for a medical group. In 2004 She married the love of her life, Irl Robinson, and they enjoyed their retirement years together traveling extensivel­y throughout the world.

Clarice was an avid reader and her interest’s included space exploratio­n and geology, but her greatest passion was her love for San Diego where she enjoyed her long list of lifetime friends. Clarice will be remembered for her fun-loving personalit­y and her strong appreciati­on for her friends and family. She is survived by her three children, daughterin-law Celeste, and her stepchildr­en David, John (Terri) Robinson.
