SAN DIEGO, CA — Rick left us on Thanksgiving Day (his favorite holiday) from a tragic fall and brain aneurysm. He is survived by his wife Holly Boehm, daughters Susan Bruinzeel and Jackie Boysen (Erik) and grandchildren Zoe, Ty and Gray.

Born in Chicago, IL to Opal (Petit) and James Stentz, Rick was the eldest of three. The Stentz children lost their father in a New York air disaster in 1953. Opal married Edgar Boehm, Sr., and they raised ten children in Three Lakes, WI (Ted, Bill, Adel, Rick, Roger, Deborah, Sandy, Rebecca, Peggy and Bob).

After graduating from Uw-lacrosse, Rick moved his young family to San Diego. His real estate career included a wide variety of disciplines in San Diego and Orange counties.

Rick loved sports and never missed a game in which his daughters or grandchildren were playing. After family, Rick’s passion was golf. Music spoke to his soul. We lost a man of principle, character and family values who was always generous with this time and talents. Ever the optimist Rick always had a song in his heart, a smile on his lips, a ready hug of encouragement or just time to talk. As a family we hold tight his memory and love. Memorial services are pending.
