Why not tap nation’s water huge resources?

San Diego’s current water resources are inadequate due to the past rainfall shortages. These drought conditions are

predicted to last for years.

One solution to this water shortage is canals and pipelines to move water from the Great Lakes and Canada to the upper Colorado River system. From here, the water would flow south through the river system to existing canals and pipelines along its banks.

This final delivery of extra water from the north to the arid Southwest cities and farms would be done by this network of canals and pipelines as it does today.

Federal, state, local officehold­ers and community leaders need to make this project happen ASAP. We need the water.
