Nation needs to honor Quayle for his efforts

Re “Book: Top general feared Trump might spark war, secretly called Chinese counterpart” (Sept. 14): If true that Dan Quayle talked Mike Pence out of trying to subvert the counting of electoral votes and give Donald Trump the election victory, perhaps Jan. 6 should be proclaimed “Dan Quayle Appreciation Day” and, by act of Congress if necessary, change the correct spelling of potato to “potatoe.”
