Best to go with a Cowboys stack against overrated ‘D’

- EDDIE BROWN On fantasy football eddie.brown@sduniontribune.com

Devising the perfect Daily Fantasy Sports strategy for the NFL can be a challenge, which is why I’m here to assist.

On Draftkings, it’s important to remember you’re playing full-point PPR with bonuses if a player surpasses 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards or 100 receiving yards.

Here is my optimal lineup for today’s $4.5 million Fantasy Football Millionaire contest, but can be utilized as a foundation in other games and platforms.

All prices listed are courtesy of Draftkings with a $50,000 budget.

QB: Dak Prescott, Cowboys ($6,700)

I got burned digging in the bargain bin last week and was hypnotized by Justin Fields’ upside — luckily the rest of the lineup was still strong enough to cash. Prescott is actually discounted a bit due to the “tough” matchup against Carolina, but the Panthers defensive standing is inflated.

RB: Najee Harris, Steelers ($6,800)

Volume is king and Harris never leaves the field. The rookie is a solid pivot off Derrick Henry, who will be the chalkiest of chalk this week vs. the Jets with A.J. Brown and Julio Jones out.

RB: Chase Edmonds, Cardinals ($5,500)

The likeliest game script has Arizona airing it out to keep pace with Matthew Stafford and the Rams.

WR: Amari Cooper, Cowboys ($6,000)

Cooper has produced at least five receptions, 67 yards or a touchdown in 17 of his 22 career home games in Dallas. He’s never had back-to-back clunkers — he only had 26 yards on three receptions last week.

WR: Ceedee Lamb, Cowboys ($6,700)

Lamb completes a Dallas double stack. Both receivers are mispriced this week relative to their usual usage and a potential high-scoring game environment.

WR: Odell Beckham Jr., Browns ($5,800)

OBJ will face either a seemingly washed up Patrick Peterson or Bashaud Breeland, his even worse counterpart. The disastrous duo has allowed 28 completions on 34 targets for 439 yards and six touchdowns in three games.

TE: Noah Fant, Broncos ($4,300)

Baltimore allowed Darren Waller (10 receptions for 105 yards and a TD) and Travis Kelce (seven receptions for 109 yards and a score) to go off.

FLEX: Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers ($5,000)

San Francisco and Seattle combined for 113 points in two matchups in ’20. Aiyuk had 91 yards on eight receptions and a TD in the first — he missed the second — and the Seattle secondary has not improved.

DST: Miami Dolphins ($3,200)

According to Pro Football Focus, Indy’s offensive line is 31st in pass blocking, and that was with All-pro Quenton Nelson (he’s out with a high ankle sprain).
