Oct. 9 TEMECULA Run Through the Vineyard
Temecula Sunrise Rotary will hold its 33rd annual “Run Through the Vineyard” fundraiser co-sponsored by Pechanga Resort & Casino and Maurice Car’rie Vineyard on Saturday, Oct. 9, at the vineyard, 34225 Rancho California Road, Temecula. Participants can run or walk the 10K, 5K or 2K courses through the vineyard while helping the service club raise money for its philanthropy projects. The races begin at 7:30 a.m. for the 10K, 7:45 a.m. for the 5K, and 8 a.m. for the 2K. Participants will receive a finisher’s medal and T-shirt. Awards will be presented for first, second and third place in each age group for the 5K and 10K races. Oct. 9 LAKE ELSINORE Citywide cleanup
The city of Lake Elsinore and CR&R will host a citywide cleanup event from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9. City residents are invited to bring their large household items such as chairs, sofas, refrigerators and mattresses, as well as green waste, metals, electronics and other household items for disposal at Parking Lot C at the Diamond Stadium, 500 Diamond Drive. Oct. 12 WILDOMAR Coffee talks
The monthly Coffee with the City of Wildomar series continues at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 12. Held the second Tuesday of the month, the free events hosted by the city and the Murrieta/ Wildomar Chamber of Commerce provide an opportunity for residents to connect with city officials. Oct. 14 TEMECULA State of the City
The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce and the city of Temecula will host the 2021 State of the City address from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Pechanga Resort & Casino. Mayor Maryanne Edwards will discuss recent achievements of the city as well as projections for the upcoming year. The event includes a Nonprofit Expo for local organizations. The Murrieta/wildomar Chamber of Commerce holds its monthly networking breakfast on Oct. 14. Oct. 16 WILDOMAR Craft brew festival
The Rooted in Nature Craft Brew Festival returns for a second year from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Marna O’brien Park, 20505 Palomar St. Proceeds of the event, which promotes and educates attendees on craft beer and the brew masters that create them, will benefit the Santa Rosa Plateau Nature Education Foundation. Oct. 21 TEMECULA History’s Dark Side
The Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library will host Temecula Valley Museum docent Dale Garcia for a presentation on “History’s Dark Side: Murders and Ghosts of Temecula’s Past” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21. Ongoing VALLEYWIDE Blood donations
Donations of blood and plasma are needed for patients throughout the region. Lifestream continues to host mobile blood drives at various locations as well as collections at its regular locations. Face coverings are required of all donors, regardless of location, and all potential donors are subject to a temperature check and COVID-19 symptom review before admission to the donor waiting area.
