Toyota dealers donate AED equipment

The San Diego County Toyota Dealers Association recently honored San Diego Project Heart Beat's 20th anniversary by donating seven automatic external defibrillators (AEDS), valued at nearly $13,000, to the San Diego Fire-rescue Department Lifeguard Division. This donation advances San Diego Project Heart Beat's mission to provide awareness about AEDS and training on how to operate them, while supplying lifeguards with critical life-saving equipment. San Diego Project Heart Beat is a nationally recognized program managed by the San Diego Fire-rescue Department. The organization works to make AEDS more accessible and has placed more than 9,500 AEDS throughout the region. AEDS increase the survivability rates among cardiac arrest victims, and help keep victims alive until further help arrives. San Diego Project Heart Beat courses are available to public and private businesses looking to educate themselves on how AEDS save lives, along with CPR classes.
