WYOMING BACK TO ITS WINNING WAYS

No. 22 Wyoming 75, Air Force 67

Hunter Maldonado scored 29 points and Graham Ike had 27 to lead No. 22 Wyoming to a 75-67 victory over visiting Air Force on Saturday.

Maldonado also had eight assists and seven rebounds, and Ike had 12 rebounds for the Cowboys (22-4, 11-2 Mountain West).

Freshman Lucas Moerman scored a career-high 15 points for Air Force (10-15, 311). The last time the two teams played, on Jan. 28, it was in Colorado Springs, Colo., where Maldonado grew up. He scored 31 points and made the game-winning layup as time expired in Wyoming’s 63-61 win.

“Throughout the history I’ve played pretty well against them, but today was about bouncing back from New Mexico because I didn’t do very well,” said Maldonado, who had nine points and eight turnovers during the Cowboys’ loss Tuesday.

Boise State 68, Utah State 57: Marcus Shaver Jr. had 20 points as host Boise State topped Utah State. Abu Kigab had 17 points for Boise State (21-6, 12-2 Mountain West). RJ Eytle-rock had 16 points for the Aggies, whose losing streak stretched to four games.

UNLV 72, Colorado State 51: Bryce Hamilton had 20 points and 10 rebounds as UNLV (16-11, 8-6 MW) routed Colorado State (21-4, 11-4). Royce Hamm Jr. added 12 rebounds. Isaiah Stevens had 14 points for the Rams.

Colorado 70, Stanford 53:

Evan Battey scored 15 points and visiting Colorado beat Stanford for its fifth straight win. Jaiden Delaire scored 12 points to lead Stanford.

Arizona State 73, Oregon State 53: Marreon Jackson came off the bench to score 15 points and host Arizona State breezed to a victory. Glenn Taylor Jr. finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds to pace the Beavers, who have lost 13 straight.

Utah 60, California 58:

Marco Anthony scored 13 points and visiting Utah held off a late rally to knock off California. Lars Thiemann scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead California.

Saint Mary’s 69, BYU 64:

Tommy Kuhse had a seasonhigh 25 points to help host Saint Mary’s hold off BYU. Logan Johnson had 17 points and six rebounds for the Gaels (22-6, 10-3 WCC), who have won 15 straight at home.

Portland 77, Pepperdine 74: Moses Wood scored a career-high 24 points, Tyler Robertson had a go-ahead three-point play and scored 22 and Portland held off visiting Pepperdine.

Pacific 69, Loyola Marymount 68: Luke Avdalovic scored 17 points for the host Tigers in their WCC win over the Lions.
