SAN DIEGO, CA — Carrie Ann Therrien, 43, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from complications due to cervical cancer after an almost 3-year heroic battle.

She worked in the I.T. industry until she became a mother, at which time her boys became the center of her world and mothering became her favorite job. Carrie especially loved spending time with family and friends, photography, crocheting, trips to Disneyland, the lake, and the snow, Pumpkin Spice season, and Christmas. She valued time spent and memories made with family and good friends, and capturing these moments in photos. She was always up for an adventure! Drive an hour to see Christmas lights? She was all in!

Carrie was also passionate about women’s health advocacy and looked forward to helping others on journeys similar to her own. She would tell you to listen to your body and your gut and to insist on screenings and tests if something doesn’t feel right.

Carrie was preceded in death by her father Robert Jesme. She is survived by “her sunshines,” her boys Braden and Jacob, her mother Donna Allee, her sisters Michelle Emblem and Stephanie Tucker, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 6pm, at Stan’s Beach in Coronado.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Braden and Jacob’s education fund at Mission Federal Credit Union (account #0091642665) in person or by mail at PO Box 919023, San Diego, CA 92191-9023 or electronically via Zelle at bradenandjacobs educationfund@gmail. com, Michelle Emblem, Custodian.
