Ronald ‘Ron’ Moore

SPRING VALLEY — Ronald (Ron) Moore, a lifelong resident of San Diego County, Ca unexpectedly passed away at his home on 7/21/2022 at the age of 64, the day after saying goodbye to his loving wife, Maggie.

Ron was the second born child to Richard and Kathleen Moore. Born at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, Ca. Ron was known as a good-hearted man, coming to the rescue of both family and friends whenever needed, which is probably what prompted him to join the San Diego Sheriffs Department. He was a Reserve Deputy Sheriff and the Sergeant that oversaw Search and Rescue. He also worked for many years at Commercial Press. He enjoyed printing Upper Deck baseball cards and

He played catcher in little league at College Park while he was growing up and his love for baseball carried on into adulthood. He’s coached his stepsons baseball teams, loved watching the Padres play, holding season tickets for a number of years, and also played ball himself on the St. Dunstan’s softball team. His next

interest was pool. He was a member of the APA (American Pool Players

Association) for over 21 years. He practiced on the table in his basement and was on target to be undefeated for the first time ever this year prior to his untimely passing. Ron never met a stranger. He was kind and friendly to everyone he met and was always willing to lend a helping hand, even giving a quarter to his granddaughter just 2 days before he passed, so she could play a quarter game. He was known for his loving hugs, his brilliant smile, and his sarcastic laugh. He loved Colorado River trips, Thunder boat races, New Beginnings retreats, riding his Harley and collecting just about everything.

He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth, Jenni and Pamela and the step-son he loved as his own, Michael. His grandchildren; Shane, Brice, Emelia, Rhys, Roarke, Bethany, Robin, Michael, Krystin, Olivia, Carter and Sophia and Great Grandchildren; Adelaide, Elliane and Elius. His brother Richard (Rick) Moore and sister Rhonda Deatherage. Along with nieces and nephews and cousins and a large group of friends that may as well have been family.

Ron will be missed immensely. It feels like he left entirely too soon.

Because of his faith and love for Jesus, we know he is waiting for us all in Heaven.
