PSAR CLASS ON MLS APP
The Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors (PSAR) will host a free, live webinar over Zoom about the Mls-touch app from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27. Presented by the California Regional Multiple Listing Service (CRMLS), the webinar will cover how the app allows access to MLS listings from a mobile device. The app also enables realtors to search properties by advanced filters and instantly generate hot sheets, sales comparisons and market statistics while on the go. The webinar will include app installation directions and account setup. CRMLS, the nation’s largest subscriber-based MLS, offers a variety of tools to help realtors build relationships with clients. For information, visit psar.org or call (619) 421-7811.
PSAR: HOMEBUYERS BROUGHT TO TEARS
The Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors (PSAR) reports a survey of homebuyers say the process left them in tears. Zillow said that 65 percent of Gen Z buyers and 61 percent of millennial buyers, many of whom are first-timers, cried at least once during their purchasing process. According to Amber Tannehill, 2022 PSAR board member, “The transaction process can be deeply personal, emotional and even frustrating for both buyers and sellers. For buyers, it can be stressful because of rising mortgage rates, affordability issues and overvalued prices, which are causing some shoppers to delay their house hunt. Sellers, meanwhile, are dealing with a cooling market, higher inventory levels, low offers, expensive contingencies and delayed moving plans.”
PSAR’S YPN SUPPORTS HOMELESS CHARITY
The Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors (PSAR) reports its Young Professionals Network (YPN) group raised $2,000 in donations at its recent Dare-e-oke Night fundraiser. Monies were donated to Humble Designs, a nonprofit that provides interior design services and home furnishings for individuals, families and veterans emerging from homelessness. Dare-e-oke is a version of karaoke where someone dares another person to sing their favorite or embarrassing song. Invitees can decline or accept the dare in exchange for donating to a charity. PSAR’S YPN group focuses on connecting the next generation of realtors with the tools and networking they need to succeed. For more information about PSAR’S YPN group, contact Kevin Mcelroy at kevin@ psar.org, or call (619) 271-5898.
