at No. 3 Ohio State 52, Wisconsin 21: Cade Stover and Emeka Egbuka each caught two of C.J. Stroud’s five touchdown passes, and Miyan Williams rushed for two more scores for Ohio State. The Buckeyes scored touchdowns on their first four drives and led 31-7 at the half. Wisconsin could only slow them down after that but didn’t get closer than 21 points.

at No. 4 Michigan 34, Maryland 27: Blake Corum rushed for a career-high 243 yards and two touchdowns to power the Wolverines. Corum, who tied the school record with five rushing touchdowns against Uconn a week earlier, had a career-high 30 carries. He became the first Michigan back to rush for 200 yards since Karan Higdon in 2017.

at No. 14 Penn State 33, Central Michigan 14: Sean Clifford completed 22 of 34 passes for 217 yards and accounted for four touchdowns in the win. Tight end Brenton Strange caught two touchdowns and Mitchell Tinsley caught one.

Minnesota 34, at Michigan State 7: Tanner Morgan threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns, and Mohamed Ibrahim rushed for 103 yards and a score to lead Minnesota. The Gophers are off to their best start since they began the 2019 season 9-0.

at Cincinnati 45, Indiana 24: Ben Bryant passed for 314 of his 354 yards in the first half with a career-high four touchdowns, and Tyler Scott had career highs with 185 yards receiving and three touchdowns for the Bearcats.

Iowa 27, at Rutgers 10: Cooper Dejean scored on a 45-yard intercepti­on return and Keavon Merriweath­er returned a fumble 30 yards for another first-half touchdown for Iowa. Leshon Williams scored on a two-yard run and Drew Stevens kicked two field goals as the Hawkeyes handed Rutgers its 20th straight Big Ten Conference loss at home.

at Purdue 28, Florida Atlantic 26: Austin Burton threw two touchdown passes in the first half and finished with three for Purdue.

at No. 1 Georgia 39, Kent State 22: Brock Bowers scored two touchdowns and the Bulldogs survived a sloppy performanc­e. Georgia had three turnovers, struggled in the red zone, was burned on a fake punt and gave up several big plays to the Golden Flashes. Kent State is the first team to score a touchdown against Georgia’s first-team defense.

at No. 2 Alabama 55, Vanderbilt 3: Bryce Young passed for a season-high 385 yards and four touchdowns. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner from Santa Ana Mater Dei High helped the Crimson Tide to 628 total yards. The defense held the Commodores to 129 yards. Ja’corey Brooks had six catches for 117 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.

at No. 8 Kentucky 31, Northern Illinois 23: Will Levis tied a career best with four touchdown passes, including critical scores of 70 and 40 yards to Barion Brown and Tayvion Robinson, respective­ly, after halftime. Levis put the Wildcats ahead 21-14 just 58 seconds into the third quarter by hitting Brown across the middle.

at No. 23 Texas A&M 23, No. 10 Arkansas 21: Devon Achane rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown and Demani Richardson sprinted the final 82 yards on a wild fumble return for another score. The Razorbacks had a chance to take the lead with 1:30 left, but Cam Little’s 42-yard field-goal attempt hit near the top of the right upright and fell short.

at No. 16 Mississipp­i 35, Tulsa 27: Jaxson Dart directed consecutiv­e scoring drives of 75, 64, 93 and 46 yards in the second quarter. He had 113 yards rushing and 154 passing. Lane Kiffin’s team trailed for the first time this season but rolled up 308 yards rushing in 51 carries.

at Auburn 17, Missouri 14 (OT): Cayden Bridges recovered a fumble in the end zone to lift Auburn. Missouri running back Nathaniel Peat dropped the football before a potential winning score. Missouri kicker Harrison Mevis missed a 26-yard field-goal attempt at the end of regulation.

at Mississipp­i State 45, Bowling Green 14: Will Rogers threw for 406 yards (38 for 49 passing) and tied a school record with six touchdown passes for the Bulldogs.

at Louisiana State 38, New Mexico 0: The Tigers held the Lobos to 88 total yards for their first shutout since 2018, but they lost quarterbac­k Jayden Daniels to an injury.

at South Carolina 56, Charlotte 20: Marshawn Lloyd rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns as the Gamecocks rolled up 295 yards on the ground.

Kansas State 41, at No. 6 Oklahoma 34: Quarterbac­k Adrian Martinez ran for 148 yards and four scores as Sooners coach Brent Venables was dealt his first loss by his alma mater. Martinez passed for 234 yards and a score. Kansas State also beat Oklahoma in 2012, 2014, 2019 and 2020. Dillon Gabriel passed for 330 yards and four scores for the Sooners .

No. 17 Baylor 31, at Iowa State 24: Blake Shapen threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns as the Bears ended the Cyclones’ 11-game home win streak against Big 12 rivals.

at Texas Tech 37, No. 22 Texas 34: Trey Wolff kicked a 20yard field goal in overtime and the Red Raiders overcame a two-touchdown deficit in the teams’ Big 12 opener. Texas’ Bijan Robinson fumbled on the first play of overtime, then Donovan Smith led the Red Raiders to the one-yard line before Wolff ’s winning kick.

Texas Christian 42, at Southern Methodist 34: Max Duggan passed for 277 yards and three touchdowns and Emari Demercado ran for two fourth-quarter touchdowns as coach Sonny Dykes’ Frogs defeated the program that he coached the previous four seasons.

at Kansas 35, Duke 27: Jalon Daniels accounted for five touchdowns, including a 3-yard run for a 34-20 lead with 4:42 left, as the Jayhawks are 4-0 for the first time since 2009.

Middle Tennessee State 45, at No. 25 Miami 31: Chase Cunningham passed for 408 yards and three touchdowns, including a 98-yarder to DJ England-chisholm, and the Blue Raiders stunned the Hurricanes for their first win in 21 tries against ranked opponents. Key’shawn Smith returned a kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown for Miami, which turned the ball over on its first three possession­s.

at No. 24 Pittsburgh 45, Rhode Island 24: Tailback Israel Abanikanda rushed for four touchdowns and Kedon Slovis went 20 for 27 for 189 yards in his return from injury to lead the Panthers. Abanikanda had 177 yards in 19 carries, and the four scores tied for second-most in program history.

at No. 12 North Carolina State 41, Connecticu­t 10: Devin Leary threw for 320 yards and four touchdowns, including a 75-yarder on the first play from scrimmage, as the Wolfpack romped in their tuneup for a showdown with Clemson.

at Louisville 41, South Florida 3: Malik Cunningham ran for three scores and tossed a 26-yard touchdown pass to senior transfer Jaelin Carter, who stretched to make a leaping grab in the end zone for his first score as a Cardinal. Cunningham became the eighth player in NCAA history to have more than 3,000 rushing yards and 8,000 passing.

Notre Dame 45, at North Carolina 32: Drew Pyne threw three touchdown passes and the Fighting Irish finally clicked on offense for first-year coach Marcus Freeman’s first road win. The Tar Heels were denied their first 4-0 start since 1997 despite five touchdown passes by Drake Maye.

at Central Florida 27, Georgia Tech 10: John Rhys Plumlee completed just eight passes, but the Knights scored on a blocked punt and rode four Colton Boomer field goals.

at Florida State 44, Boston College 14: Trey Benson returned the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown and added two rushing scores to help the Seminoles start 4-0 for the first time since 2015. Jordan Travis threw for 321 yards.
