Deborah ‘Debby’ Lynn Joseph

CHULA VISTA, CA — Debby passed away October 3 at UCSD Hillcrest Hospital from ALS. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Paul ‘Luke’ and Glenda Lukefahr. At a young age the Navy transferre­d her father to San Diego, and she spent the remainder of her life here and in Chula Vista.

Debby graduated from SDSU and entered the education field as a teacher. She taught for years at Greg Rogers and Parkview Elementary Schools. When her second son was born, she resigned from teaching and devoted her life to raising her sons and spending time with her husband.

Debby’s parents predecease­d her. She is survived by her husband, Duff; her sons, Brian (Chanece) and Kevin; her brothers, Mike (her twin), Steve, Tom, and Larry (Franca); and one nephew and three nieces.

Her memorial service will be an open visitation at her home on November 12 from 10AM to 6PM. Please consider a donation in memory of Debby to the ALS Society for research.
