Dorothy Ann Spilman

LA MESA, CA — A celebration of life for Dorothy Ann Spilman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25 in the Garden Chapel, Greenwood Memorial Park and Cemetery, 4300 Imperial Avenue, San Diego.

Dorothy, 90, passed away on September 29, 2022. She was a resident of San Diego County since 1955. In 1969, she moved to La Mesa to raise her children. She was a retired nurse, and a member of the California Note Catchers, a Harmony Inc. women’s chorus that focuses on singing in the barbershop style. Her chorus and her quartet, the “Ginger Snaps,” entertain at community events throughout San Diego County.

Surviving Dorothy are four daughters, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The family takes comfort in God’s promise that they will smile with her again in Heaven.
