Alyce G. Solomon
June 7, 1936 - August 27, 2022
SAN DIEGO, CA — Our dear mother, Alyce G. Solomon, sadly passed away on August 27, 2022, at the age of 86. She was a wonderful, awesome mother and friend, and she will be truly missed by her family and many friends.
Alyce was born on June 7, 1936, in Sweet Home, Oregon. During her teenage years, Alyce moved down to Oceanside, California where she found work in a few jewelry stores, one in which she met Dutch Solomon, owner of Dutch Jewelers. Besides selling jewelry, she also mastered the art of trophy making and engraving, which eventually led her to opening and operating her own trophy business, North County Trophies, for over 30 years.
During those years, she had the true privilege of meeting and working with many people in the community. She took great pride in her store, the beautiful trophies that she created, and in the friendships she developed and maintained.
Alyce is survived by her three daughters:
Tina Harmon-alvarez, Laura Lee Harmon-tacker and Katrinka Solomon; grandchildren April Harmon, Paul Tacker and Kiana Solomon-lopez along with seven greatgrandchildren. Alyce is also survived by her sister, Laura Lambresi and her family.
Share your stories and remembrance at the Celebration of Life for Alyce on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 2-5pm at her home, 2102 Winchester Street, Oceanside CA. If you have any questions, please contact Katrinka at 619-548-2014.
