Oct. 23 TEMECULA Sunday Funday at Vail HQ

Oct. 23 LAKE ELSINORE Farmers market

The city of Lake Elsinore holds its weekly Mornings on Main Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays at City Park, 184 Main St. Shop for locally sourced produce and handmade treasures at the farmers market, and stroll down Historic Downtown Main Street to take in the antique shops, novelty stores, museum and fine dining.

Oct. 24 MURRIETA Dog Tales

The Murrieta Public Library holds its Dog Tales program at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, except holidays. The program, in partnershi­p with Love on a Leash, provides trained reading-education assistance dogs for children ages 3 to 12 to read to. Arrive early to sign up for a 10-minute slot. Oct. 24 TEMECULA Halloween movie night

Youths in grades 7-12 are invited to the free Teen Movie Night screening of Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library, 30600 Pauba Road. Oct. 25 MURRIETA Coffee talks

The Coffee with the City of Murrieta series continues at 8:30 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month. The free events hosted by the city and the Murrieta/wildomar Chamber of Commerce provide an opportunit­y for residents to connect with city officials. The city of Temecula will host a free, family-friendly evening of tricks and treats at the annual Halloween Carnival from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Town Square Park and Sam Hicks Monument Park. Town Square Park is at 41902 Main St. and Sam Hicks park is at 41970 Moreno Road.

The city of Menifee will host a Dia de los Muertos celebratio­n from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, in Central Park, 30268 Civic Plaza Drive. The family-friendly event seeks to celebrate, educates, and showcase cultural traditions through live music, dance performanc­es, children’s activities, traditiona­l food, and retail vendors. Ongoing VALLEYWIDE Blood donations

Donations of blood and plasma are needed for patients throughout the region. Lifestream continues to host mobile blood drives at various locations as well as collection­s at its regular locations. Face coverings are required of all donors, regardless of location, and all potential donors are subject to a temperatur­e check and COVID-19 symptom review. The Murrieta donation center is at 40365 Murrieta Hot Springs Road, and is open seven days a week; hours vary. Informatio­n: www.lstream.org.
