Man shot during fight at College Area party

A 22-year-old man was shot in the arm after a fight broke out at a College Area party early Saturday morning, San Diego police said.

Residents of a home on Pembroke Drive were hosting the party when a group of people arrived around 1:40 a.m., police said.

The group started causing a disturbance, and a fight broke out, according to police. One of the men in the group pulled out a gun and fired three shots, striking another man in the arm.

The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren't believed to be life threatening, police said. Detectives from the department's Eastern Division are investigating.
