Last chance to see regional Summation 2022 exhibition

The Escondido Arts Partnership Municipal Gallery is hosting its Summation 2022 exhibition through Jan. 6, giving you a final week to enjoy the artwork of several regional artists.

Perry Vásquez, the juror of the series, has selected 60 artists to display their work ranging from the fiber-focused mixed media of Alex Gano to the transparent watercolor work of Chuck Mcpherson to the stunning photography of Susan Coppock.

Each piece of art tells a different story. In an effort to keep the creative juices flowing, the gallery is asking the community to write poems influenced by the exhibited artwork. The poems — each its own narrative of the artwork on display — can be submitted to the annual Summation Anthology of Art and Poetry Book. The 2021 Summation XIV Anthology has been published and is available for purchase.

The gallery is at 262 East Grand Ave., Escondido. Admission is free.
