friend, Stan John, she is survived by cousins, Anthony Plumer, Tonya Jarett, Patricia and Richard Masson and children Damien and Melanie, Wayne and Ellen Zimmerman and children Harmony and Nicolas, Craig Franklin, Kenny Franklin, Karen Hansen and child Heidi.

Nancy’s dynamic character led her through many walks of life. Already wanting to help others, she obtained her life

March 20, 1945 - January 9, 2023 guarding certificate very young. She graduated from Oceanside High School in 1963, then she spent 2 years in Redlands University followed by a year of study in Germany. She graduated from Redlands University in 1967 and started working for the Broadway in 1968. Her job moved her to Downey, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City all the while taking her abroad as she fulfilled her function as

buyer for the company.

In 1976 she began working for “Personal Service Laundry”, the family business in Carlsbad. She took over the business as self-employed.

Besides her jobs, she was part of a city council committee for Oceanside, fighting to keep high-rises from being built along the waterfront. She also worked as trust executor for several trusts and as a volunteer working for AA.

Even though she retired 25 years ago, she continued working as property manager right up to the day she had her stroke.

Through all these jobs her heart was set on helping others often giving advice, gifts, donations, and loving friendship.

She was care giver for her father and loved helping all members of her family. She had a wide family including not only blood relations, but friends whom inevitably became “her family”.

Her passion for animals led her to adopt them! Her passion for sports led her to ski and play tennis. Her passion for reading and music draped her house with books and CDS of all kinds. But her passion for people was strongest and those

who knew her were close even when living far away from her.

She loved and was loved. We keep her heart in our own. Thank you Nancy for just being you!

A memorial for her with family and friends will be set at a later date.
