Frances D. Stewart

June 10, 1938 - January 18, 2023

SAN DIEGO — Frances D. Stewart went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2023, at the age of 84. Born on June10, 1938 in San Diego, Fran lived a wonderful and full life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Renaildo “Stew” Stewart, and parents, Antonino and Jennie Vitrano. Loving mother of James Stewart (Margaret), Jeanette Boyle (Daniel), Anthony Stewart (Dana), and Michael Stewart. Proud grandma of eight: Rosalyn (Matt), Christina (Bryan), Valerie (William), Janelle (George), Tony (Katie), Joseph (Terry), Marla, and Ashley.

Loving great-grandma of 13: Sergio, Helena, Juliet, George, Lyla, Kade, Elijah, Dylan, Anthony, Nole, Nathan, Samuel, and Billie. Fran was one-of-a-kind and will always be remembered for her love of family and friends, church, train trips, cruises, bingo, the Beatles, and her ability to make us laugh. One of the last things she said was, “Have love for family and friends. Be faithful to them!” She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Viewing on Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 2-4 pm at Clairemont Mortuary, 4266 Mt. Abernathy Ave., San Diego, CA 92117. Services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4124 Mt. Abraham Ave., San Diego, CA 92111, with viewing from 10-11 am at the church prior to service, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery and Celebration of Life from 3-8 pm at Riverwalk Golf Club, Fashion Valley.
