Young musicians in concert

As part of their Discovery Series, the La Jolla Music Society presents violinist Johan Dalene and pianist Giorgi Gigashvili in concert at 3 p.m. today.

The award-winning young musicians have been playing in Europe and are now touring the world to showcase their talents as they take on various works in the classical cannon.

San Diego Jewish Film Festival Preview Day

Feel like a V.I.P by heading to the San Diego Jewish Film Festival Preview Day at 11 a.m. today at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community

Center, 4126 Executive Drive, La Jolla.

The preview includes an hour of trailers of the movies that made the grade, so that you can decide which films you most want to see when the festival takes place Feb. 15-26.

‘El Huracán’ at the Cygnet Theatre in Old Town

Don’t miss the compelling and powerful family drama, “El Huracán,” now through Feb. 19 at Cygnet Theatre in Old Town.

The show tells the story of family and forgivenes­s that follows four generation­s of Latina women through an epic hurricane in Miami.
